Summary of Responsibilities
- Integrate MHPSS considerations into community activities with the mobile team using the IASC intervention pyramid
- Deliver training on psychological first aid, stress management, team building, conflict management, communication and community-based MHPSS
- Strengthen social networks through support groups, discussion forums and participatory cultural, recreational and sports initiatives
- Provide individual and group counselling to conflict-affected people
- Develop awareness campaigns and psychoeducation sessions on mental health and psychosocial support
- Conduct needs assessments, surveys, focus groups, interviews and research to improve access to psychosocial and specialised mental-health care
- Coordinate local implementing partners and integrated MHPSS programmes for displaced people, veterans and their families
- Document services, enter activity data and report against quarterly plans and donor requirements
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, educational psychology, psychotherapy, social sciences, social work or a related field with at least two years of working experience
- Experience communicating and working with people from culturally diverse backgrounds
- Fluency in Ukrainian
- Readiness for frequent travel across the target oblast and emergency deployment
Desired Criteria
- Previous experience in MHPSS, community-based work, teamwork and humanitarian interventions
- Previous experience in mental health, social or protection activities
- Track record of innovative work and local initiative
