Summary of Responsibilities
- Develop an inception report, methodology and tailored training programme
- Consult UN Women, the Ministry of Social Development and shelter management
- Prepare training materials and pre- and post-training evaluations
- Deliver six days of capacity building for shelter staff and counsellors
- Strengthen application of shelter procedures and inclusive case management
- Train participants on suicide risk, health screening and referral pathways
- Address service needs of women who use drugs and women sex workers
- Submit training and final narrative reports with lessons and recommendations
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in social science, public health, gender, development, human rights, criminology, sociology or a related field, or a relevant bachelor’s degree with two additional years of experience
- Minimum three years of experience in violence against women, protection and women’s rights
- Experience managing cases of women survivors of violence
- Experience delivering capacity-building training in survivor case management
- Fluency in Arabic
- Working knowledge of English
- Submission of a capacity-building training-material sample and report
Desired Criteria
- Experience with women who use drugs or women sex workers
- Experience with the UN system or international organisations
- Experience with the Ministry of Social Development or justice system
