Project Officer – Mental Health and Psychosocial Support

Coordinates IOM’s mental health and psychosocial support activities for migrants in Kinshasa, leading a multidisciplinary team and partner capacity building. The officer manages delivery, stakeholder engagement, training, information and reporting while integrating protection and emergency standards.

• Manage implementation and monitoring of the project's MHPSS component
• Guide psychologists, social workers, facilitators and social-cohesion personnel
• Develop and deliver staff and partner capacity-building plans
• Coordinate with health authorities, government and humanitarian partners
• Represent IOM in operational and technical MHPSS forums
• Produce communications materials, financial reports and narrative reports
• Maintain project information and regular updates with donors and country-office units

• Master's degree in psychology, social work, psychiatry, social sciences, anthropology or a related field with at least five years of relevant experience, or a bachelor's degree with at least seven years
• Experience managing and reporting projects and assessing MHPSS needs in emergency or post-conflict settings
• Experience coordinating multi-layered MHPSS services in assisted voluntary return programmes or migration reception centres
• Fluency in English and French

• Professional accreditation in medicine, psychology or counselling
• Clinical supervision and capacity-building experience with mental-health professionals
• Experience with migrants, refugees, displaced people or survivors of gender-based violence
• Working knowledge of Spanish or another official United Nations language
