Job Description

Strengthens child-protection programming by providing technical leadership for planning, implementation and results management in Mumbai. The specialist advances policy advocacy, systems strengthening and strategic partnerships, applying UNICEF’s Convene, Converge and Catalyze approach to help create protective environments and deliver sustainable improvements in children’s protection.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support child-protection programme development and planning
  • Manage programme monitoring and delivery of results
  • Provide technical and operational support to programme implementation
  • Build strategic networks and partnerships
  • Advance innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
  • Apply policy advocacy and systems-strengthening approaches
  • Apply UNICEF’s Convene, Converge and Catalyze approach

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or another relevant social science field
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in social development planning and management in child-protection areas
  • Fluency in English
  • Open to Indian nationals only

  • Experience in child-protection programme development in a UN system agency or organisation
