Job Description
UNICEF Armenia is recruiting a Child Protection Specialist to lead evidence-based child-protection programming in Yerevan. The role designs, implements, monitors and evaluates sustainable interventions, provides technical guidance to national partners and strengthens systems that prevent violence, abuse and exploitation while advancing inclusive, family-focused solutions for children.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead situation analysis, strategic planning and programme design for UNICEF child-protection priorities
- Oversee implementation, monitoring and evaluation of child-protection programmes and use lessons learned in future programming
- Provide technical guidance and operational support to government, civil society, UN agencies and other partners
- Build partnerships and mobilize support for sustainable child-protection results
- Promote innovation, knowledge sharing and capacity building to strengthen child-protection systems and services
- Contribute to policy dialogue, advocacy and resource mobilization
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in psychology, international development, sociology, social science, human rights, international law or a related field
- At least five years of relevant experience in human rights, child protection, early childhood development or social development
- Proficiency or fluency in English and Armenian
- Experience in monitoring and evaluation, programme management, knowledge management and capacity building
Desired Criteria
- Experience in developing countries, humanitarian contexts or emergency preparedness
- Experience with UN organizations
- Relevant country-level experience in development, fragile settings or humanitarian contexts
