Job Description
Supports UNICEF Sri Lanka's Social Policy Section with research, data analysis, coordination and knowledge products for social protection reforms, public finance and the pregnancy voucher assessment. The internship also helps organise stakeholder consultations and policy events.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support social protection initiatives and the pregnancy voucher assessment
- Plan and document national and regional meetings, workshops and consultations
- Coordinate follow-up with government, development partners, United Nations agencies and consultants
- Prepare presentations, briefing notes, reports, concept notes and meeting summaries
- Compile, organise and analyse programme and assessment data
- Conduct research and literature reviews on social protection, social care, digital innovation and artificial intelligence
- Support knowledge generation and policy engagement for child-sensitive social protection
Role Requirements
- Recently completed or current university degree in social policy, economics, development studies or a related field
- At least one year of full-time or part-time experience in social policy, economics, development studies or a related field
- Strong research, analytical, writing, drafting and reporting skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and data-analysis tools
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Proof of valid medical and life or accident insurance for the duty station
Desired Criteria
- Experience working with the United Nations
- Recent leadership in child, youth or civil-society movements and networks
- Ability to speak Sinhala or Tamil
