Job Description
Provides technical, operational and administrative support for UNICEF child-protection programming in Chattogram, including child protection in emergencies. The officer helps plan, implement, monitor and report programme results, strengthens partnerships and knowledge management, and supports safe, accountable services that protect children and communities affected by humanitarian and development challenges.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support child-protection programme development and planning
- Manage programme implementation, monitoring and delivery of results
- Provide technical and operational support to child-protection activities
- Strengthen networking and partnerships for child protection
- Support innovation, knowledge management and capacity building
- Contribute to child protection in emergencies programming
Role Requirements
- First-level university degree in international development, human rights, psychology, sociology, international law or a relevant social science
- At least 2 years of professional experience in child-protection-related social development planning and management
- Strong understanding of child protection in emergencies including case management, psychosocial support, community systems and referral mechanisms
- Knowledge of child safeguarding, data protection and ethical monitoring practices
- Knowledge and application of the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action
- Proficiency in English

- Coordination and representation ability across multiple stakeholder groups
- Cultural sensitivity when engaging with the Rohingya community
- Experience working in a developing country
- Experience in child-protection programme development with a UN agency or international organisation
