Job Description

Leads technical oversight and coordination for UNICEF Kenya child protection, safeguarding and violence-against-children programming, including online safety. The specialist manages RISE protection components, supports government and partner delivery, and advances evidence-based prevention, survivor-centred programming, capacity building and accountability for children.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead child protection, safeguarding and online-safety programme components
  • Manage RISE protection delivery, monitoring and quality assurance
  • Provide technical guidance to government, NGO and UN partners
  • Build partnerships and capacity for violence-prevention interventions

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in International Development, Sociology, Human Rights, Psychology, International Law, Social Sciences or related field
  • At least five years of relevant child protection, programme management or humanitarian experience
  • Fluency in English

Desired Criteria

  • Another official UN language or a local language
  • Digital learning, online protection and safeguarding experience
