Child Protection Officer

Supports UNICEF child-protection work in West Bengal through planning, partner coordination, field monitoring and evidence management. The officer tracks results, resolves implementation bottlenecks, prepares donor and strategy materials and maintains knowledge resources that strengthen services for children and adolescents.

• Support planning and review of child-protection workplans and strategic documents
• Prepare programme materials for planning, review and approval processes
• Monitor implementation and coordinate partners for timely results reporting
• Conduct field visits, assess progress and help resolve programme bottlenecks
• Coordinate stakeholder meetings and follow up agreed actions
• Prepare progress reports for management, donors and partners
• Develop concept notes, strategy briefs, funding proposals and donor reports
• Capture lessons and maintain the child-protection knowledge library in SharePoint

• Relevant academic background in social sciences, development studies, child development, social development, international relations, social work, law, economics, social policy or a related field
• At least five years of experience in child rights, child protection or another relevant programme
• Professional experience in programme implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Knowledge of child protection, human rights and gender
• Research background with quantitative and qualitative methods
• English
