Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support regional adoption of cloud services, modern workplace technology and network infrastructure
  • Provide cybersecurity, information-security and digital-risk guidance to country offices
  • Assess regional ICT, cloud, data and AI infrastructure requirements and facilitate access to services
  • Review digital solutions for privacy, data protection, interoperability, accessibility and resilience
  • Develop business applications, workflows and analytics in UNICEF’s enterprise environment
  • Coordinate adoption, user support and lifecycle management for regional digital platforms

Role Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience in IT management and business operations in a large international organization or corporation
  • Experience designing and implementing large-scale technical solutions, including vendors, business analysis, budgets, contracts and procurement
  • Hands-on web-application development using Microsoft and open-source platforms
  • Experience with SharePoint, Microsoft network environments and IT project management
  • English

Desired Criteria

  • Experience in open-source, mobile or emerging technology for UNICEF programme areas
  • Experience in T4D or ICT4D design and deployment in developing countries
  • Experience with RapidPro, mSupply, DHIS2, ODK or other global public-good technologies
  • Experience coordinating ICT projects with government, academic, research and private-sector stakeholders
  • Knowledge of UNICEF ICT landscape, standard platforms or knowledge-management solutions
