Supports UNICEF’s migration from legacy analytical platforms to a modern lakehouse and analytics architecture. The data engineer contributes to migration planning, target-architecture validation, parallel runs, testing and issue resolution; develops data products and Bronze, Silver and Gold transformations; migrates Oracle warehouse and downstream assets to Databricks; and implements Unity.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Migrate Oracle data warehouse to Databricks
- Prepare data extraction and validate mappings
- Support target-architecture design workshops
- Assist testing and issue resolution
- Migrate downstream analytics assets
- Develop Bronze Silver Gold transformations and implement Unity Catalog governance
Role Requirements
- Advanced degree in information systems computer science business administration information-technology management data science or related field
- Five years of information and communication technology Databricks lakehouse analytics data modeling or ETL experience
- Proficiency in English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of another official UN language
- Microsoft Fabric Oracle DevOps Agile Scrum or Git experience
- Databricks data-engineer or data-analyst certification
- Country-level development fragile-setting or humanitarian-context experience
