Job Description

Designs and delivers technical solutions that integrate complex data and enable data-driven decisions at HQ MARCOM. The role builds, tests and deploys solutions for critical integration projects while advancing technical practice in data engineering, data science and project delivery, strengthening the command’s collection, storage, processing, pipeline-management and data-governance capability.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver technical solutions that integrate complex data for data-driven decisions
  • Define business problems and requirements before building, testing and deploying technical solutions
  • Apply complex algorithms, data-science workflows, data modelling and AI to deepen situational awareness
  • Develop data-engineering methods for data collection, storage, processing, pipeline management and governance
  • Deliver critical data-integration projects that enable desired project outcomes
  • Standardise technical practice and strengthen MARCOM data-engineering capability

Role Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience applying data-science tools for advanced analytics, machine learning and data visualisation
  • Advanced degree in data science, data analytics or a closely related field plus 2 years of functional experience
  • Or higher secondary education with advanced vocational training and a professional qualification or accreditation plus 4 years of related experience
  • Experience delivering data integration using AI or machine-learning tools
  • Experience designing mathematical and statistical models to resolve business challenges
  • Experience applying data-science, analytics and data-integration tools or programming languages to real-world datasets

Desired Criteria

  • Industry-recognised qualification or accreditation in a relevant field
  • Experience using big-data ecosystems such as Hadoop, Spark or MapReduce
  • Experience working in NATO or a similar multinational defence or security sector
