Summary of Responsibilities

  • Implement and monitor protection activities in Kachin State
  • Analyze security, socio-economic and political developments affecting protection
  • Maintain contacts with authorities, communities and humanitarian actors
  • Contribute to internal reporting and multidisciplinary protection responses
  • Support detention, family-visit, safe-return and tracing activities
  • Conduct field missions and document protection actions

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Law, International Relations, Political Science or relevant field
  • At least 3 to 5 years of humanitarian, protection or field-operations experience
  • Knowledge of international humanitarian law, human rights and protection principles
  • Proficiency in English, Kachin and Myanmar languages
  • Ability to work in Myitkyina and Kachin State

Desired Criteria

  • Master's degree
  • Previous ICRC experience
  • Case-management and protection-data documentation experience
