Responsibilities

  • Support initial and continuing training for members of the French asylum court
  • Research and draft legal analysis on French, overseas and European asylum law
  • Monitor legislative, jurisprudential and policy developments on asylum
  • Prepare meetings, events, external interventions, minutes and briefing notes
  • Support status verifications in countries of first asylum
  • Contribute to cross-cutting work of the Legal and Policy Affairs Unit

Requirements

  • Current enrolment in higher education or graduation within the two years before applying
  • At least two years of undergraduate study in human rights, public international law, international relations, political science or another relevant field
  • French at minimum CEFR C2 and English at minimum CEFR B2
  • Thorough knowledge of French asylum procedures and relevant institutions
