Supports refugee and asylum protection across Zambia, Malawi and Zimbabwe by managing protection cases, monitoring risks and standards, engaging communities and authorities, and advancing legal documentation, inclusion and durable solutions for displaced and stateless people, especially vulnerable groups.

Responsibilities
- Monitor legal, political and social developments affecting the protection environment
- Advise displaced people and liaise with authorities on documentation and access to rights
- Support eligibility, status determination and prevention of statelessness
- Manage protection cases involving gender-based violence, child protection and urgent incidents
- Identify voluntary repatriation, local integration and resettlement solutions
- Engage communities and partners in protection planning and accountability
- Support legal reform, national-service inclusion and government capacity building
- Collect disaggregated protection data and monitor strategy results and operational risks
Requirements
- High-school diploma with three years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree or higher with two years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Experience supporting protection, human rights, social services or related work
- Understanding of protection risks affecting women, children and marginalised groups
- Experience engaging communities and facilitating access to government or social services
- Familiarity with protection monitoring, service mapping or case-tracking tools
