Overview

Supports IOM Ethiopia’s counter-trafficking and specialised migrant-protection work. The associate coordinates activities, partners and budgets, analyses protection data, monitors implementing partners, develops reports and procedures, organises capacity building and supports case-management and referral services.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, implement and monitor counter-trafficking and specialised protection activities
  • Analyse protection information and highlight issues for programme decisions
  • Monitor budgets and recommend adjustments
  • Coordinate project administration across internal and external partners
  • Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence and statistical documentation
  • Organise meetings, training and capacity-building workshops
  • Monitor implementing partners and report non-compliance
  • Contribute to procedures, concept papers and new project development

Requirements

  • School diploma with six years of relevant experience, or bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with four years
  • At least four years of relevant professional experience, preferably in counter-trafficking or migrant protection
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Fluency in spoken and written Amharic
  • Ability to maintain beneficiary confidentiality, safety, respect and non-discrimination
