Supports OHCHR Human Rights Treaties Branch internship assignments connected to treaty body work. The pool supports research, documentation and programme assistance for monitoring implementation of core international human rights treaties.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Support activities of the Human Rights Treaties Branch and treaty bodies
- Assist research and documentation related to core international human rights treaties
- Contribute to programme, meeting or information-management tasks for treaty body work
- Review materials and prepare inputs for human rights monitoring support
- Support branch activities in remote or in-person modalities
Role Requirements
- Enrollment in a graduate programme, enrollment in the final academic year of a first university degree programme, or recent graduation from a qualifying university degree
- Studies or interest in law, human rights, international relations, political science or related field
- English is required
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of UN human rights treaty bodies or international human rights law
- Another UN language is desirable
