Job Description
Supports OHCHR’s South-East Asia work by monitoring human rights developments and researching regional issues including migration, climate change, early warning and public information. The intern prepares notes, reports and news updates, contributes to engagement with UN human rights mechanisms, and helps organise workshops, maintain resource tools and document meetings in the Bangkok office.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse human rights developments and trends in South-East Asia
- Research and draft internal and external notes, reports and regional news updates
- Support SEARO engagement with Special Procedures and Treaty Bodies
- Help organise workshops and seminars and maintain information and resource tools
- Update website information and document meetings and conferences
Role Requirements
- Be in the final year of a bachelor’s programme, a master’s or Ph.D. programme, or have completed a bachelor’s, master’s or Ph.D. programme
- Have a field of study closely related to the internship
- Fluency in spoken and written English
Desired Criteria
- Drafting news articles or social-media posts
- Designing surveys and polls

Additional Information
- Full-time, in-person six-month internship in Bangkok
- Non-Thai candidates must secure valid visa and employment authorisation
