Job Description
Supports OHCHR’s South-East Asia Regional Office in Bangkok with regional human-rights monitoring, research and engagement. The intern analyses developments, drafts reports and news updates, assists work with United Nations human-rights mechanisms and helps organise workshops, seminars and information resources.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyse human rights developments and trends in South-East Asia
- Research and draft internal and external notes, reports, and daily news updates on the human rights situation in the region
- Support SEARO engagement with UN human rights mechanisms including Special Procedures and Treaty Bodies
- Assist with organising workshops and seminars, and maintaining information/resource tools and website content
- Participate in meetings and conferences and take notes as requested
Role Requirements
- Currently enrolled in final year of bachelor's, master's or PhD programme, OR have completed a bachelor's, master's or PhD degree; field of study must be closely related to the internship
Desired Criteria
- Ability to draft news articles and/or social media posts
- Ability to design surveys and polls

Additional Information
- Full-time, in-person internship for 6 months based in Bangkok, Thailand. Non-Thai nationals are responsible for obtaining a valid visa and employment authorisation
