Job Description
UNOCT seeks a remote, full-time unpaid intern to support its Global Human Rights Programme. Under a Human Rights Officer, the intern drafts reports, briefings and outreach materials; researches human-rights and rule-of-law issues in preventing terrorism; prepares meeting records; helps organize partner events; and supports training and capacity-building work in a three-to-six-month assignment.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Draft and edit reports, briefings, presentations, talking points and outreach materials
- Take meeting notes and prepare reports and summaries
- Research human-rights, rule-of-law and counter-terrorism developments, policies and legislation
- Support meetings, conferences and strategic engagement with partners
- Assist training, learning and capacity-building events
Role Requirements
- Enrolled in or completed a graduate programme, or enrolled in or completed the final academic year of a first university degree
- Field of study closely related to the internship
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Knowledge of human rights and rule-of-law issues in preventing and countering terrorism is desirable
- Research and background-note drafting experience is desirable
- Additional UN language is an asset
