Job Description

Supports IOM Slovakia’s migration, integration and foreign-national employment projects. The senior associate coordinates implementation and stakeholder engagement, researches legal and labour-market developments, develops training materials, facilitates capacity-building sessions, produces reports and policy inputs, and helps partners apply residence and employment frameworks effectively.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support project implementation and monitor project activities
  • Prepare reports, briefing notes, graphics, tables and project documentation
  • Organise meetings, workshops and training sessions and prepare materials
  • Coordinate with authorities, partners, UN agencies, donors and stakeholders
  • Develop standard operating procedures and concept papers
  • Guide and monitor other unit staff as assigned
  • Deliver training for employers and institutional stakeholders
  • Research legislation, policies and labour-market developments
  • Support consultations, interviews, focus groups and data analysis

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Social Science, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with four years of relevant professional experience; or High School diploma with six years of relevant professional experience
  • Fluency in Slovak and English, oral and written
  • Excellent knowledge of Slovak legislation on residency and employment of foreign nationals
