Leads and coordinates emergency health-response projects for IOM's future surge roster, combining programme delivery, public-health analysis, budget oversight and partner coordination. The role supports preparedness and response decisions, capacity building, reporting and supervision so humanitarian health interventions can respond effectively to evolving needs in the Philippines.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead emergency health-response projects in line with work plans, technical standards and donor requirements
  • Analyse public-health emergencies, disease outbreaks, disaster impacts and humanitarian developments to inform decisions
  • Track expenditure, fund availability and budget revisions for compliant resource use
  • Coordinate financial, administrative, operational and technical aspects of health-response projects
  • Facilitate preparedness, infection-prevention, community-engagement and response capacity building
  • Represent the project with health authorities, UN agencies, Health Cluster partners, NGOs and donors
  • Prepare situation reports, donor reports and project documentation on progress, challenges and financial status
  • Supervise and mentor project staff

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Health, Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or a related field with five years of relevant professional experience, or a high school diploma with seven years
  • Fluency in one IOM official language

Desired Criteria

  • Experience with international humanitarian organisations, non-government or government institutions in a multi-cultural setting
