Summary of Responsibilities
- Supervise emergency health interventions and teams at IOM-supported points of entry and control
- Train provincial and local partners on quality assurance for field health activities
- Coordinate migration-health interventions with technical experts in the Ebola response
- Conduct field assessments and provide technical support for response improvements
- Ensure surveillance data are reported through incident-management, EWARS and DHIS 2 systems
- Prepare epidemiological reports, bulletins and situation reports for the Ebola response
- Represent IOM in local incident-management coordination meetings
- Develop emergency-preparedness training for points of entry
Role Requirements
- Advanced university degree in epidemiology, public health or health sciences
- At least five years of professional experience in epidemiological surveillance with an outbreak-response focus
- Fluency in French and English
- Medical fitness, residency or visa compliance and security clearance for appointment
Desired Criteria
- Experience responding to outbreaks, preferably Ebola virus disease
