Responsibilities

  • Conduct household visits and community dialogues in displacement sites, host communities and border health points
  • Inform displaced people, host communities and travellers about Ebola signs, prevention and stigma
  • Distribute information materials adapted to local languages
  • Support awareness activities and project data collection with authorities, providers and community representatives
  • Organise and lead community meetings and sensitisation activities
  • Maintain working relationships with local actors and field partners
  • Engage women’s groups, youth associations, religious leaders and traditional healers in response activities

Requirements

  • University degree in medical sciences, social sciences, communications or a related field with at least two years of relevant professional experience
  • At least one year of community-activity experience in humanitarian or epidemic settings
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local languages
  • Good written and spoken French
