Summary of Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and report discussion sessions for technical development of course curricula using DACUM methodology
  • Conduct consultations to develop curricula, syllabi, teacher guides, student manuals and assessment guides
  • Form curriculum-development committees and build their capacities
  • Lead technical support for committees developing curricula, manuals and scope-and-sequence documents
  • Organise validation workshops and report on development of output materials
  • Ensure materials align with the Sudan National Technical Education Qualifications Framework

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in Technical Education, Education, Curriculum Development, Educational Planning or a closely related field
  • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in technical education, vocational training or curriculum development
  • At least five years of competency-based curriculum-development experience
  • Sudan-based experience is required
  • Excellent command of Arabic
  • Good working knowledge of English

Desired Criteria

  • Previous experience in the Sudanese technical-education system and relevant institutions
  • Knowledge of Badaweit, Tigre/Tigri or other languages used in Kassala State
