Job Description

Provides administrative and operational support for Global Fund health programmes in Myanmar. Working with the Senior Programme Manager, the role maintains project records, tracks expenditure and reporting deadlines, supports monitoring data collection, coordinates partner information and event logistics, and helps project teams deliver HIV, tuberculosis and malaria grant activities.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Draft project reports, memos, communications, documentation and contracts in UNOPS formats
  • Maintain hard-copy and electronic records for project operational and financial transactions
  • Monitor project-report deadlines, financing submissions and budget-utilization documentation
  • Review expenditure requests, funding availability and documentation and follow up on budget actions
  • Arrange field visits and coordinate travel documents and related logistics
  • Collect project data, issue monitoring statistics and support day-to-day project coordination
  • Initiate purchase orders in oneUNOPS for payments to implementing partners
  • Organize meetings, trainings, workshops and events

Role Requirements

  • Secondary education, or a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economics or Development Studies as an asset that may substitute for some required experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar field of work or exposure to project management
  • Experience using MS Office, Google Suite Applications and other office software
  • Intermediate English and fluent Burmese
  • Open to UNOPS internal candidates and Myanmar nationals only

  • Previous involvement with and knowledge of NGOs and civil society
