Job Description

Leads UNDP Nepal’s Tiger Landscapes Investment Facility technical-assistance work, developing nature-positive enterprise pipelines and coordinating finance, conservation and government partners. The specialist directs project planning, delivery and safeguards, oversees service providers and results reporting, and builds investment partnerships and local jobs.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Develop annual work plans, budgets and targets for the technical-assistance facility
  • Monitor progress, risks and results and prepare semi-annual and annual reports
  • Oversee procurement, contracting and supervision of consultants and providers
  • Coordinate technical assistance to financial service providers and pipeline partners
  • Conduct field visits and support biodiversity-impact monitoring
  • Build partnerships with government, financial institutions, conservation groups and local communities
  • Mainstream gender equality and social inclusion across planning, delivery and reporting

Role Requirements

  • Advanced degree in finance, environmental science, business administration or a related field, or a first-level degree with two additional relevant years
  • At least five years of project implementation and management experience, including planning, monitoring, reporting and stakeholder coordination
  • Computer literacy in MS Office and web-based management information systems
  • Fluency in English and Nepali
