Job Description
Provides technical leadership for UNFPA Zambia's Ebola preparedness response, integrating sexual and reproductive health, gender-based violence and protection from sexual exploitation and abuse into emergency systems. The consultant coordinates service mapping, training, referral pathways, community engagement and monitoring so essential care and survivor support remain available in high-risk border provinces.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Coordinate SRH and GBV integration in emergency operations and incident action plans
- Conduct service mapping, facility-readiness assessments and gap analyses across high-risk provinces
- Update GBV and clinical referral pathways for Ebola infection-prevention protocols
- Coordinate training and simulation exercises for health workers and call-centre staff
- Monitor distribution of specialised PPE, disinfectants and clinical job aids
- Facilitate community engagement and risk communication with health workers and local leaders
- Monitor community-feedback mechanisms and adapt operational responses
- Deliver preparedness reports, workplans and transition recommendations
Role Requirements
- Master’s degree in Medicine, Public Health, Global Health, Nursing or Midwifery, Social Work, Humanitarian Affairs or a related field
- At least seven years of experience designing, managing or coordinating SRH, maternal-health or GBV emergency responses
- Operational knowledge of Ebola or viral haemorrhagic fever preparedness and infection prevention and control in clinical settings
- Experience adapting GBV referral pathways, clinical management of rape protocols and PFA or MHPSS in epidemic contexts
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Experience with UN agencies, ministries of health, national public health institutes or international NGOs
- Working knowledge of Bemba, Nyanja, Kaonde, Luvale or Lunda for field monitoring and consultations
