Job Description

Supports FAO programme planning, coordination, monitoring and reporting across Europe and Central Asia. The specialist helps formulate the work programme, tracks budgets and outputs in corporate systems, advises country teams, prepares reports and provides logistical and administrative support for meetings and workshops.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support formulation and review of the Regional Work Programme and corporate plans
  • Coordinate implementation of the FAO Strategic Framework across the region
  • Prepare regional budget-management reports using FAO corporate systems
  • Support output-level monitoring and corporate year-end reporting
  • Provide monitoring and reporting advice to country teams
  • Prepare background documents and programme reports
  • Provide logistical and administrative support for meetings, events and workshops
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes

Role Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in social, economic, agricultural or environmental sciences or another relevant discipline, or a first-level degree with two additional years of experience
  • At least one year of experience supporting coordination, monitoring and reporting of multidisciplinary activities in an international or technical organization
  • English

  • Programme or project coordination and implementation experience
  • Programme or project monitoring and reporting experience
  • Knowledge of United Nations or FAO programme-management procedures
