Job Description

Supports FAO Bangladesh’s RAINS and school-feeding activities by helping deliver nutrition-sensitive agriculture, market-linkage and youth-empowerment work. The assistant organizes training and coordination, captures programme evidence, supports monitoring and communications, and contributes to nutrition education, value-chain capacity building and knowledge products for project learning and policy engagement.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Organize training, workshops and materials for farmers and women- and youth-focused project activities
  • Support coordination with the RAINS Project Management Unit and project communications activities
  • Assist monitoring, beneficiary data capture and evidence collection for policy engagement
  • Support nutrition-sensitive agriculture, homestead gardening and integrated farming interventions
  • Contribute to nutrition education materials, assessments and value-chain capacity development
  • Support surveys, monitoring and case-story collection for school-feeding programme activities

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Food or a relevant field
  • At least one year of experience in agriculture, food science or a similar field
  • Working knowledge of English
  • National of Bangladesh

Desired Criteria

  • Working knowledge of Bengali
  • Skills in supporting project management
