Supports FAO’s food loss and waste work across Asia and the Pacific through data collection, analysis, implementation support and reporting. The role improves evidence and monitoring methods, documents effective practices and contributes to technical outputs and capacity building for sustainable agrifood systems.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Collect, validate and manage food loss and waste data from multiple sources
- Analyse qualitative and quantitative evidence and present results through tables, charts and summaries
- Provide analytical and operational support for multidisciplinary food loss and waste projects
- Draft, edit and revise technical documents, reports, briefs and publications
- Improve data-collection tools, methodologies and analytical approaches
- Document emerging practices for reducing and managing food loss and waste
- Develop technical materials and support workshops, seminars and capacity-building activities
- Identify evidence gaps and strengthen monitoring approaches for food loss and waste work
Role Requirements
- Master's degree or equivalent in agriculture, economics, food science, environmental or natural-resource management, agrifood systems, social science or a related field
- One year of relevant experience in food loss and waste, food security, agrifood systems, governance, policy support or agricultural development
- Working knowledge of English and intermediate knowledge of another FAO official language
- Age 32 or younger on 31 December of the application year
