Intern, Climate Change, Food Security and Natural Resources

Supports UNECA research and policy work on climate change, food security and natural resources. The internship contributes to publications, briefs, databases and project tracking, assists meetings and outreach, and helps prepare COP32 while supporting day-to-day work across the division’s policy and development themes.

Department: Climate Change, Food Security and Natural Resources Division

• Research climate-related policy and development themes
• Draft and edit publications, briefs and other documents
• Maintain research and programme databases
• Track project negotiations and implementation
• Organise meetings, events and outreach activities
• Support preparations for COP32 in Addis Ababa
• Prepare presentations and liaise with partner organisations
• Draft meeting minutes and support divisional administration

• Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Availability to work in Addis Ababa during the internship

• Three-month unpaid internship
• Interns or sponsoring institutions must cover travel, visa, accommodation and living expenses
