Environmental Project Affairs Intern

Supports a UNECE project that empowers women in urban and food forest management. The intern will contribute to national assessments, organise workshops, help develop online training and build a digital forest-data module that strengthens gender-responsive, evidence-based planning and policy.

Department: Forests and Air Section

• Support national assessments of urban and food forest planning and management
• Analyse how gender can be mainstreamed in forest governance, policy and action
• Organise workshops on planning, funding and managing urban and food forests
• Prepare online training that empowers women in urban and food forest management
• Develop a digital module for forest data collection or dissemination on the INForest platform

• Enrolment in or completion of a graduate programme, or enrolment in or completion of the final academic year of a first university degree
• Field of study closely related to the internship
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Proof of qualifying enrolment or completion must be attached to the application

• Internship runs from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027
• Internship is unpaid
• Travel, visa, accommodation and living costs are the responsibility of the intern or sponsoring institution
