Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning (MERL) Specialist

Lead monitoring, evaluation, research and learning for UNDP Pacific resilience programming by developing MEL frameworks, integrating gender equality and social inclusion, building partner capacity, conducting political economy analysis and advancing Pacific learning and advocacy.

Department: Governance for Resilient Development in the Pacific

• Develop the programme monitoring and learning approach
• Establish outcome mapping and data analysis systems
• Integrate gender equality and social inclusion indicators
• Build partner capacity for culturally contextual Pacific MEL
• Conduct political economy analysis across Pacific countries
• Advocate Pacific MEL approaches in professional forums

• Advanced relevant degree or a bachelor degree with two additional years of experience
• At least five years of experience with a master degree or seven years with a bachelor degree
• Experience developing MEL frameworks and actionable insights
• Experience building MEL capacity and working in the Pacific
• Fluency in English
