Overview

Provides survey, implementation-research and evaluation expertise for the International Plant Protection Convention roster. The specialist designs robust instruments, indicators and monitoring frameworks, analyses quantitative and qualitative evidence, and translates findings into recommendations and knowledge products.

Responsibilities

  • Advise IPPC teams on survey methodology, implementation research and evidence generation
  • Design surveys, questionnaires, interview guides, indicators and data-collection instruments
  • Select sampling approaches, response scales and collection strategies for reliable results
  • Improve participation, respondent engagement and data quality while reducing bias and burden
  • Develop monitoring and evaluation frameworks and assessment methodologies
  • Create guidance, protocols and standard procedures for survey delivery and data quality
  • Analyse quantitative and qualitative data to identify trends, gaps and lessons
  • Translate findings into technical reports, recommendations, presentations and knowledge products

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in statistics, social sciences, monitoring and evaluation, public policy, agricultural economics, agriculture, plant protection, biological sciences, natural sciences or another relevant discipline for consultant appointments, with two additional years of experience when the qualification is a bachelor’s degree
  • University or technical qualification in a relevant discipline for PSA appointments
  • At least five years of relevant experience in survey design, implementation research, monitoring and evaluation, data collection or applied research
  • Working knowledge of English
