Overview

Supports delivery of Lesotho’s results-based financing facility for equitable off-grid clean energy. The analyst coordinates planning, partner engagement, monitoring and reporting, verifies milestones and builds knowledge and capacity so renewable-energy interventions achieve measurable results.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate project planning, budgeting and day-to-day implementation of the financing facility
  • Integrate gender equality into project interventions and management processes
  • Build partnerships with government, businesses, NGOs, academia and development partners
  • Support resource mobilisation and identify synergies with other development initiatives
  • Design monitoring strategies, data-collection systems and means of verification
  • Verify milestones through document review and field visits
  • Prepare management, donor and government reports on programme progress
  • Organise training, document lessons and develop knowledge and advocacy products

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in electrical, mechanical or electronics engineering or a relevant field, or a bachelor’s degree with two years of qualifying experience
  • With a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of relevant experience in off-grid renewable energy initiatives or development contexts
  • Knowledge of results-based management and project implementation
  • Understanding of Lesotho’s energy-sector development
  • English working proficiency
  • Sesotho working proficiency
