Responsibilities
- Research sustainable and circular textile topics to inform UNEP programmes
- Support private-sector convening on textile overproduction and overconsumption
- Coordinate Global Textile Policy Dialogue meetings, events and speaker engagement
- Prepare agendas, presentations and meeting records for consultations and conferences
- Curate and distribute the UNEP Textile Initiative monthly newsletter
- Review documents, reports and project proposals and provide technical inputs
- Onboard, train and manage interns supporting the Textile Initiative
- Monitor relevant projects and contribute to reporting through UNEP systems
Requirements
- Advanced university degree in international relations or environmental policy focused on sustainable fashion and textiles
- At least two years of experience in sustainability or a related role in the fashion or textile sector
- Excellent writing and communication skills for explaining technical information to broad audiences
- Experience curating newsletters
- Fluency in spoken and written English
