Overview

Supports UNEP’s Textile Initiative with research, private-sector convening and policy-dialogue delivery on sustainable and circular textiles. The role develops knowledge products, coordinates the monthly newsletter, supports project monitoring and helps engage industry, governments and international partners.

Responsibilities

  • Research sustainable and circular textile topics to inform UNEP programmes
  • Support private-sector convening on textile overproduction and overconsumption
  • Coordinate Global Textile Policy Dialogue meetings, events and speaker engagement
  • Prepare agendas, presentations and meeting records for consultations and conferences
  • Curate and distribute the UNEP Textile Initiative monthly newsletter
  • Review documents, reports and project proposals and provide technical inputs
  • Onboard, train and manage interns supporting the Textile Initiative
  • Monitor relevant projects and contribute to reporting through UNEP systems

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree in international relations or environmental policy focused on sustainable fashion and textiles
  • At least two years of experience in sustainability or a related role in the fashion or textile sector
  • Excellent writing and communication skills for explaining technical information to broad audiences
  • Experience curating newsletters
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
