National Consultant- Saint Lucia-Preparation of national inventory of banks of waste-controlled substances and development of a national plan for management of these substances (decision 91/66)

Home-based national consultancy supporting Saint Lucia to compile five years of data on banks of used and unwanted ozone-depleting substances and HFCs, map stakeholders and data gaps, and produce the data-collection report needed for a national inventory and management plan.

Department: OzonAction Branch, Law Division

• Review available data on used and unwanted controlled substances
• Build a five-year database covering refrigerant banks and installed equipment
• Identify missing data and address gaps through primary data collection
• Create a national stakeholder database and conduct surveys
• Assess laboratory capacity and improvement needs
• Prepare the national inventory data-collection report in line with UNEP and Multilateral Fund guidance

• Advanced university degree in refrigeration and air conditioning, environmental science, engineering or a related field, or a first-level university degree with two additional years of qualifying experience
• Experience in national data collection in the refrigeration and air-conditioning sector
• Experience writing and reviewing technical project proposals
• Excellent oral and written English

• Home-based, part-time consultancy for five months
• Assignment is delivered in consultation with Saint Lucia’s National Ozone Unit
