Job Description
Coordinates information-technology maintenance and support in WFP's Monrovia office so staff can access reliable systems and services. The post monitors network and hardware performance, resolves technical queries, maintains telecommunications equipment and supports new applications. It also trains users and junior colleagues while improving service processes for operational and emergency needs.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Perform system and hardware maintenance, including network monitoring and system protection
- Monitor technology reliability, analyse user needs and recommend IT solutions
- Resolve standard technical queries and escalate issues when necessary
- Train end users and junior colleagues in commonly used technology and systems
- Support implementation of new applications for WFP staff
- Prepare end-user and technical documentation for IT services and products
- Coordinate installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment
- Coordinate IT staff to meet service objectives and support emergency response processes
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education and a post-secondary certificate in a related functional area
- Six or more years of progressively responsible work experience in the relevant business stream
- Fluency in oral and written communication in the UN language used at the duty station and the duty-station language when different
