Job Description
Provides day-to-day ICT support for WFP’s expanding Pacific operations from Suva. The assistant maintains infrastructure and equipment, resolves service requests, supports connectivity and office expansion, trains users and keeps asset records current to strengthen operational readiness.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Monitor systems, run diagnostics and optimise performance
- Repair, configure and store ICT equipment in line with security and access controls
- Log, prioritise, track and resolve service requests through the corporate ticketing system
- Train end users to use standard technology and systems effectively
- Test hardware and software and identify operational problems
- Maintain ICT asset and equipment inventory records
- Prepare training and onboarding documentation for IT services and products
- Follow emergency-response procedures to support delivery of humanitarian assistance
Role Requirements
- Completion of secondary school education
- At least five years of experience in IT support, telecommunications, network administration, helpdesk services or a related field
- Technical knowledge of cloud services, computer hardware, software, mobile devices, printers, networks and collaboration technologies
- Experience installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting ICT equipment and systems
- Ability to provide user support and resolve routine ICT incidents
- Knowledge of ICT asset management, inventory control and basic procurement
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Desired Criteria
- Post-secondary certificate in information technology or a related technical field
- Experience supporting satellite and wireless communications
- Experience working in the Pacific region or Small Island Developing States
