IT Telecoms Contractor

Installs, tests and supports telecommunications and network infrastructure for UN Geneva users and conferences, maintaining service tickets, equipment records and network data while resolving faults and escalating issues that require changes to the existing architecture.

Department: Service Desk Unit, Information and Communication Technology Service

• Install, repair and test telecommunications hardware, software and cabling
• Maintain user, equipment, vendor and network-configuration records
• Manufacture network-compatible cables and patch switch rooms
• Install and test LAN connections, mini-switches and wireless networks
• Configure and support telecommunications services for conferences

• High school diploma
• At least five years of experience in IT, telephony, networking, network support, electricity or logistics
• Fluency in spoken and written French

• Individual contractor assignment for two and a half months with possible extension
