Joint Inspection Unit Research and Analysis Intern

Supports Joint Inspection Unit teams conducting system-wide UN reviews, contributing research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, concise drafting and knowledge management for evidence-based findings, benchmarks and recommendations that improve administrative efficiency and coordination across participating organisations.

Department: Joint Inspection Unit

• Support assigned inspection and evaluation teams on system-wide UN reviews
• Research administrative, management and coordination practices across UN entities
• Analyse qualitative and quantitative evidence for review findings
• Draft concise inputs supporting observations, benchmarks and recommendations
• Organise review evidence and contribute to knowledge management
• Apply digital and AI-assisted tools with confidentiality and human review
• Collaborate with inspectors, evaluation officers and research assistants

• Enrolment in or recent completion of a graduate programme in a relevant field, or enrolment in the final year of or recent completion of a bachelor’s degree
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Research, analysis, English drafting and organisational skills
• Fluent spoken and written English

• Unpaid full-time internship for three to six months
• Geneva presence is preferred; remote or hybrid work may be considered
