Job Description

Supports Joint Inspection Unit review teams conducting system-wide oversight and evaluation across the United Nations system. The full-time intern contributes research, analysis, drafting and knowledge-management work under the guidance of evaluation and inspection officers, helping reviews identify best practices, develop evidence-based recommendations and strengthen system coordination.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Support review teams assigned to system-wide oversight reviews
  • Conduct research, analysis and drafting for review work
  • Prepare evidence-based review materials and recommendations
  • Support information sharing across participating organisations
  • Use digital tools for research, analysis and knowledge management

Role Requirements

  • Enrolment in or recent completion of a graduate programme in a field relevant to JIU work, or final-year or recent completion of a bachelor-level programme
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong research, analytical and English drafting skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in spoken and written English

Desired Criteria

  • Familiarity with responsible use of AI-assisted tools
  • Knowledge of advanced qualitative or quantitative analysis and visualisation software
  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence tools
