Job Description
Supports UNICEF’s Office of Internal Audit and Investigations in New York by helping the Strategy, Intake and Analysis team assess new matters and strengthen investigation quality. The part-time internship reviews reports and evidence, prepares case materials and recommendations, supports hotline intake and data analysis, and contributes to research, policy and donor-reporting work.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Review incoming reports and gather information for initial assessments
- Conduct open-source searches and analyse evidence for case-resolution recommendations
- Draft closure notes and referral memoranda and compile supporting documentation
- Support hotline intake by drafting responses and initiating cases
- Organize case files and assist with evidence collection and witness-interview review
- Prepare statistical and case-data reports for stakeholders
- Support legal research, policy review and donor-report communications
Role Requirements
- Graduated within the past two years or currently enrolled in a university or advanced-degree programme
- Zero to two years of relevant experience in legal activities or investigation-related functions
- Fluency in English
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive case-related information
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and relevant computer systems and applications
