Overview
The assistant will administer recruitment, appointments, benefits, leave and HR records for UNOG clients, process personnel actions and entitlements, advise staff and managers, maintain Umoja documentation and workforce statistics, and provide responsive support through the HR Client Support Centre.

Responsibilities
- Process vacancy applications, candidate files, reference checks and pre-recruitment formalities
- Calculate salaries and benefits and prepare appointment offers and personnel actions
- Review and process allowances, claims, insurance, pension and rental-subsidy requests
- Administer sick, parental, home, recuperation and special leave cases
- Maintain Umoja guidance, personnel records, HR statistics and automated databases
- Advise staff and managers on visas, entitlements, time management and HR procedures
- Organise HR training, workshops, meetings and ceremonies
- Respond to HR Client Support Centre queries by email, telephone and in person
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least five years of experience in human resources, administrative services or a related area, reduced to three years for candidates with a first university degree
- Experience advising staff and managers on human-resources issues
- Experience administering benefits and entitlements in international organisations
- English at UN Level III and French at UN Level II
- Authorisation to work at the Geneva duty station
