Job Description
Builds and coordinates WFP's technology response to emergencies, supporting humanitarian communications, digital assistance and services for affected communities. The rostered consultant will lead emergency technology projects, coordinate the Emergency Telecommunications Cluster, plan staffing and budgets, mobilise resources and partners, and deploy to demanding field operations where reliable IT services are critical to humanitarian response.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Lead emergency technology projects in field operations
- Manage Emergency Telecommunications Cluster and security telecommunications services
- Assess and prioritise technology needs for affected communities
- Develop concepts of operations, staffing plans, budgets and implementation plans
- Coordinate emergency communications solutions with humanitarian partners
- Mobilise resources and build local capacity for sustainable services
Role Requirements
- University degree in technology or business management and at least 8 years of relevant experience
- Ability to design and execute emergency projects in demanding field conditions
- Ability to deploy to emergencies within 24 hours
- Fluency in English
Desired Criteria
- Intermediate knowledge of Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish or Portuguese
