ICT Officer

The National ICT Officer supports UNMAS mine-action operations in South Sudan by maintaining information-management systems, data quality and reporting tools. The role provides IT and communications support, manages GIS and database services, trains users and partners, and supervises the information-management team to strengthen safe, reliable programme delivery.

• Coordinate IMSMA information-management systems, databases and archives
• Conduct data audits, quality controls and system updates
• Maintain reporting tools, dashboards, data distribution and operational standards
• Support UNMAS network infrastructure, office automation and server backups
• Use GIS for map production and geographic data management
• Train users and partners and identify information-management capacity gaps
• Manage information-management team tasks and support data-quality assurance

• Relevant experience in information technology, information management, telecommunications or systems
• At least two years' experience using MS Office, database management and ArcGIS or similar GIS software
• Fluent English

• Professional IT or information-management certifications
• Experience using SQL or Adobe CS
• Experience in multicultural, UN-system, development or humanitarian contexts
