ICT Officer

Provides and coordinates ICT solutions and end-user support for the IOM Country Office, maintaining reliable and secure networks, systems, applications and cloud services. The officer will supervise ICT assistants, resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 incidents, monitor and patch technology infrastructure, strengthen cyber-security and disaster recovery, maintain technical documentation, and train personnel on effective use of mission systems.

• Supervise ICT Assistants and oversee their daily work
• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support and root-cause analysis
• Install and administer network, system, application and cloud services
• Monitor technology infrastructure and resolve performance issues
• Implement and test business-continuity and disaster-recovery plans
• Respond to information-security incidents and maintain the IT risk register
• Maintain network diagrams, user manuals, asset inventories and operating procedures
• Train ICT assistants and end users on mission systems

• University degree in Computer Science or relevant education with five years of professional networking and Tier-2 support experience, or high school/diploma with seven years
• At least one year of professional experience in cloud computing
• Fluency in English
• Guyanese nationality or legal authorisation to work in Guyana with valid residence and work permits

• CCNA, ITIL V4, PRINCE2 or specified Microsoft certification
• Experience with UN agencies, international organisations or international NGOs
