ICT Specialist – Software Development (Full Stack Developer)

Builds and maintains full-stack platforms for the UN Development Coordination Office from a home-based duty station. The specialist develops TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React and PostgreSQL services, creates APIs and automated tests, improves performance and security, supports users, and contributes to Azure-based DevOps.

Department: UN Development Coordination Office (DCO)

• Design and deliver full-stack features using TypeScript, Node.js, Express and React
• Develop and document public and private APIs
• Maintain PostgreSQL-backed applications and automated test coverage
• Improve application performance, scalability, security and user experience
• Provide technical support, bug triage and data-management assistance
• Support Azure, Docker and Kubernetes deployment workflows

• Master’s degree in an ICT-related field with five years of relevant experience, bachelor’s degree with seven years, or secondary education with eleven years
• Experience developing and maintaining database-driven web applications
• Experience with object-oriented JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.js and React or Angular
• Experience with .NET or another web framework
• Experience with SQL databases and automated software testing
• Fluency in English
