Job Description

Leads the development and rollout of a centralized indirect-procurement framework for MSF Operational Centre Amsterdam. The advisor strengthens sourcing, compliance, supplier due diligence and value for money across corporate-service categories, while supporting departments, managing procurement systems and performance data, and coordinating with MSF procurement counterparts.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day indirect-procurement expertise and support to departments across MSF OCA
  • Apply sourcing, tendering, supplier-selection and negotiation approaches to procurement activities
  • Develop procurement policies, processes and procedures and train users in their application
  • Vet suppliers against MSF due-diligence and risk-management standards and plan legacy-supplier reviews
  • Implement and manage the contract-lifecycle-management and e-tendering tools for head-office users
  • Develop indirect-procurement KPIs and analytics for reporting and performance monitoring
  • Represent OCA in procurement initiatives with the Global Procurement Unit, head offices and partner sections

Role Requirements

  • Educational background in procurement, supply chain or business administration
  • At least seven years of procurement, sourcing or supply-chain-management experience in an international organization
  • Experience with sourcing strategies, negotiation, stakeholder management, process improvement, contract management, change management and project management
  • Excellent command of English
  • Based in or willing to relocate to the Netherlands

  • Fluency in Dutch
