Job Description
Leads UNOPS HR support across Central Africa operations from a home-based Yaounde duty station. The officer applies policies, implements workforce initiatives, advises management on complex personnel matters, oversees recruitment, contracts and talent planning, guides the HR team, and strengthens learning, analytics and knowledge sharing with regional and headquarters stakeholders.

Summary of Responsibilities
- Provide workforce insights for corporate HR policies and country implementation
- Lead HR strategies, projects and workforce-planning initiatives with management
- Advise and mediate on grievances, conduct issues and workplace disputes
- Oversee classification, recruitment, onboarding, performance and contract administration
- Coordinate contractual modalities, job fairs, competency mapping and talent placement
- Develop plans to attract, develop and retain critical talent
- Conduct HR research and prepare reports, summaries and briefing notes
Role Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2 years
- Experience in recruitment, HR contract administration, employee relations, organization design and development, or related areas
- Experience using collaboration and productivity tools and web-based management systems
- Fluent English
- Fluent French
Desired Criteria
- Professional certificate in Human Resource Management
- Experience in multicultural environments or UN system organizations in a developing country
- Experience in development or humanitarian contexts
